MUNICIPAL TOURISM OFFICE
VISION
WE WISH TO HAVE A TOURISM THAT SHOWS THE DIVERSITY OF THE TERRITORY (LANDSCAPES, CULTURE, ATTRACTIONS, GASTRONOMY), WHICH RESPECTS THE ENVIRONMENT, WITH QUALITY OF SERVICES AND THAT THIS INTEGRATED AT REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND GLOBAL TOURISM.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
TO POSITION THE CITY OF ANGOL, AS THE CAPITAL OF THE PROVINCE OF MALLECO - REGION OF ARAUCANIA, IN THE DOMESTIC AND REGIONAL MARKETS, AS A TOURIST DESTINATION, FROM THE DIVERSITY OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO IMPROVING THE PROVINCIAL ECONOMY.
WORK AREAS:
- PROMOTION AND TOURIST INFORMATION.
- TRAINING AND TOURISM AWARENESS - ECOLOGICAL:
- DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM PRODUCTS.
- SUPPORT TO THE TOURIST ACTIVITY.
- COORDINATION AND PROGRAMMING OF TOURIST EVENTS.
- PROMOTION TOURISM INVESTMENT
CREATION TOURISM OFFICE:
On December 7, 1982, the colonial-style building, located next Vergara Bridge No. 1 (O'Higgins S / N) building belonging to the illustrious Municipality of Angol and delivered on loan to Chile Provincial Institution CEMA is built.
The information Office, started serving only in summer season and in April of 1987 the service began with two experts in tourism, were subsequently in October of 2006, the tourism office was moved to the Main Square "Seven foundations" bandstand.
On September 27, 1988, the tourism office, received recognition at regional level The Tourist Merit granted by SERNATUR, Araucania region.
Was received by the then-head of tourism don Tulio Miranda Conejeros - Director of the Derpartament of transit and accompany by Ms. Cecilia Muñoz Polanco and Don Javier Ibar Muñoz, officials of the Tourism Office, a distinction given by the Director of SERNATUR don Mario Gutierrez Truan.
Later, on September 27, 2006, are recognized the office, regionally for their support and contribution to the development of regional tourism, the award was presented during the ceremony conducted by the Regional Director don Sebastian Guarda Raby and received by Mr. Alcalde de Angol, Don Obdulio Valdebenito Burgos, being in charge of the Department of Community Development don Claudio Hormazábal Narváez.
