UFOLOGÍA
Angol se caracteriza por las observaciones de seres voladores no identificados, por la ubicación en donde estamos y el clima que posee esta ciudad, la cual se deriva a una zona caliente, existen variadas experiencias de los habitantes, algunos mas dedicados al tema como don Raúl Gajardo, que posee gran cantidad de historias y lugares en donde observar este acontecimiento como el sector El Mirador, conocido por los lugareños como "Las Piñas", y el sector de Maitenrehue, valle butaco. También se observan en la ruta hacia Collipulli, especialmente en el sector de Santa Elena". Donde variadas personas afirman haber vivido una de las experiencias más increíbles de sus vidas.
Este fenómeno no sólo ha provocado interés en los medios de comunicación, sino también en organismos que se dedican a estudiar el fenómeno Ovni en nuestro país.
Los informes sostienen que carabineros de diferentes unidades, militares y lugareños de Angol y sus alrededores han sido los protagonistas "claves" de este fenómeno, que el ex uniformado ha recopilado y archivado minuciosamente, acompañados de croquis de los aparatos descritos por los testigos.

Es necesario considerar que es una actividad nueva y que está sugeta a intereses particulares y no se garantiza la observación correspondiente.
