Carlos Tapia Vera
Es oriundo de la ciudad de Angol, en la Región de La Araucanía. De profesión locutor, descubre su pasión por la pintura a través de su trabajo radial en las frecuentes entrevistas a pintores y contactos con eventos de esta naturaleza.
Su primer contacto oficial con el óleo y los pinceles lo tiene al conocer al retratista de concepción, Héctor Cifuentes de quien aprende algunas técnicas básicas sobre la figura humana. Por su trabajo radial recorre chile donde va conociendo a distintos artistas de la plástica nacional de quienes al mismo tiempo, obtiene enseñanzas. A pesar de todo ello se define como autodidacta y su perfeccionamiento es el fruto de la perseverancia pintando prácticamente todos los días. Su pintura pretende ser realista y su especialidad son los retratos y caballos. Algunos bodegones forman parte de su colección personal.
El primer premio en reconocimiento a su talento lo obtiene el año 1981 al participar en la ciudad de valdivia en el concurso denominado mes del mar.
Márquez tapia es un nombre artístico creado solo para diferenciar la actividad radial de lo pictórico.

Carlos Tapia Vera
Is a native of the Angol city, in the Araucanía Region. Professional speaker, he discovers his passion for painting through his radio work in frequent interviews with painters and contacts with events of this nature.
His first official contact with oil and brushes has to inform the portrait painter of Concepción, Héctor Cifuentes, Carlos learned from him some basic techniques on the human figure. For his radial work he goes through Chile, where know various artists of plastic nationality who, at the same time, he obtains lessons. Despite all this is defined as an autodidact and perfection are the fruit of perseverance painting almost every day. His painting tries to be realistic and his specialty are portraits and horses. Some still lives are part of his personal collection.
First prize in recognition of his talent was in 1981 to participate in the city of Valdivia in the competition called the sea month.
Márquez Tapia it is a stage name created just to differentiate the radial activity of painting.
